Maw of Souls – Glory of the Legion Hero

 

  • Mythic, no keystone
  • Individual achieves are account wide so you can do on any alt
  • Reward is Reigns of the Leyfeather Hippogryph
  • Unlocks artifact appearance 4 in the Balance of Power line.

1. Poor Unfortunate Souls

Defeat Helya in Maw of Souls while all FIVE group members are Poor Unfortunate Souls on Mythic difficulty.

TLDR: run Black Rook Hold heroic or mythic after clicking the flame just inside the BRH entrance, then run Maw of Souls mythic, with no more than 10 minutes between killing the last boss in BRH and the first boss in MoS.
If anyone dies, the achieve fails so don’t pull too much at a time.
Must be done with a full group.
  • Set hearthstone to Valdisall.
  • Go to Black Rook Hold, set dungeon difficulty to HEROIC (easier)
  • Enter BRH and everyone click on the blue flame in the font to the left inside the entrance.
  • [If you think the boulders on the stairs will kill you, wait till they stop before going up].
  • Kill the last boss in BRH within 30 mins of entering the dungeon.
You now have ten minutes to kill the first boss in Maw of Souls.
  • Hearth to Valdisall, fly down to Maw of Souls.
  • Set dungeon difficulty to MYTHIC.
  • Enter and kill first boss (Ymiron).
You now have 12? 15? mins to kill the second boss (Harbaron).
  • After killing Harbaron, you have the buff “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and 10 mins to:
  • Kill Helya.

2. Helheim Hath No Fury

Rescue the Captured Val’kyr in Maw of Souls on Mythic difficulty.
Once you have killed the first boss and go into the ship, you have 3min30s to kill the second boss (Harbaron) or the Valkyr beside him dies.
Get into a well geared group and this achieve is almost automatic.

3. Instant Karma

Defeat Ymiron after defiantly striking down 6 Risen Warriors in Maw of Souls on Mythic difficulty.
This one needs clarity and precision. Can be soloed.

  • There is a pack of trash to Ymiron’s right. Put a raid marker on the Seacursed Soulkeeper, keep it alive but kill all other adds.
  • [alternatively mark the Seacursed Soulkeeper on the bridge and stealth or use an invisibility potion to get past it without pulling it, then kill all the mobs to the boss’s right].
  • · You can if you need to run out of the instance to reset its health if you’ve damaged it
  • · Come back in and pull the boss and wait for him to summon at least 6 Risen Warriors (skeletons).
  • · Everyone stack on the boss, let the tank aggro the skeletons and soulkeeper.
  • · The soulkeeper will eventually attack you with Defiant Strike, and its cleave will kill the adds – it usu oneshots them.
  • · And don’t stand in swirly stuff.
  • · Kill Ymiron.
