The Glimmerflies on Strings is a very literal toy – When used, you will get glimmerflies floating above your head! The toy effect lasts 30 seconds and the toy himself has a low 5-minute cooldown. Although you do appear to be levitating with the glimmerflies, you are not actually granted a slow fall effect – So do not use this toy as a slow fall tool!
You can obtain this toy by completing one of the side quests required for the achievement Sojourner of Bastion, the Wings of Freedom quest chain.
This questline requires level 60 to start, and starts with the quest Broken Wings.
In this questline, you help the steward Kowalskos achieve his dream of flying, ending up with using glimmerflies as a way to glide around. Once you complete the quest Glimmerflight, you will receive the Glimmerfies on Strings toy!
You’ll find Kowalkos at its Workshop built under a hill in Bastion.
To get there head south from the Sagehaven flight path and cross the first bridge.
At the crossroads hang a right turning just slightly southwest. You’ll see the terrain marked on the world map level with the “Hero’s” text in Hero’s Rest; it sort of looks like a backwards C.
